Birds of Impalatism
Birds of Impalitism
A fast-paced, movement-based FPS set in a haunted vaporwave mall, where every step is a shot fired.
Step into the flickering neon halls of Palamus Mall, a decaying monument to 1980s consumerism, long abandoned after tragedy struck. You are the daughter of two former cult members, returning to the ruins they once called sacred. Your mission: free the trapped spirits still bound to the mall’s warped ideals.
Birds of Impalitism takes place in the aftermath of the Birds of Impalitism, a corporate-worshipping cult founded by charismatic mogul Julian Hattsborough. They believed corporations were divine entities — “Corporamus” — and saw consumption as a holy act. The mall was their temple, and its walls still hum with their twisted faith.
Movement is your weapon. You're locked into a direction once chosen — and every directional shift fires a CD from your launcher. Each CD type alters how you move and attack, turning combat into a reactive, rhythmic puzzle. Shuffle through your playlist of discs, and choose the right track for each encounter.
Explore the mall using Ghost Goggles, a device that reveals and interacts with remnants of the past. Through echoes of forgotten moments, you'll uncover the cult’s rise, its unraveling, and the personal cost of blind devotion.
